I am a firm believer that the creative style of cursive writing is a dying art. The discipline of learning
cursive handwriting is rarely taught in today’s society. As an elementary school teacher of 30 years, I
believe it is still important to preserve the discipline of cursive writing as a valuable skillset. It is a
beautiful and elegant form of communication. With this in mind, I wanted to feature cursive writing in
my artwork using words that are meant to inspire and uplift the human spirit.
